I was looking up red lipsticks and red is a signature for many celebs...the following is a list of celebrity woman who, at one time or another, sported classic red lips. I found this during a web search and I hope you find it interesting.

Karen Elson: Nars "Heat Wave" lipstick.

Linda Evangelista: Prescriptives lipgloss, Bobbi Brown lip liner "Rose" and "Natural" and MAC "Spice" lipliner (before Yardley contract).

Roshumba:MAC "Luxe" and Bobbi Brown # 15.

Salma Hayek: Kiehl's "Blackberry" (before Revlon contract), Revlon "Stone"

For Tan Skin (Like Jessica Alba): Lancome Le Rouge Absolu in Merlot

Amel Larrieux: MAC "Touch" lipstick and "Spice" lip liner

Gwen Stefani: "Gash" by Urban Decay and "Viva Glam" by MAC.

If you're interested in trying a bold red lip color but are intimidated because you don't think you'd look good, think twice
-Consider using one of these woman as a template. If you're a medium tone Latina or black woman, look to Salma Hayek or Amel Larrieux, and if you're fairer think look to Karen Elson or Gwen Stefani...whichever of these woman seem close to your own skin tone or that you're a fan of. Even if you don't stick to these particular lipsticks, the choices may eventually lead to your ideal red (within that brand or another).
