I'm a bit of a fan and my favorite has been General Hospital and I was super invested in the "Liason" coupling (Jason and Elizabeth) anyhow I don't think they are pursuing that and I could deal if they just ended it there, but there not!

I heard that they are dropping the actress who plays Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) to recurring status. She is so lovely and I'm such a fan of hers...I know that she has mentioned having kids and a mortgage and she has been on the show since she was 20 years old.

...my only other problem is that, as a lot fans of this show have mentioned, the producer Brian Frons and a couple of other producers are misogynist (not to mention narrow minded). Mr. Frons has made deragotary comments about actresses that don't fit a certain standard of beauty. Some cite his remarks about the actress Kathy Brier's appearance and weight and his constant promotion of Kelly Monaco and others will debate the opposite and that this is all unfounded.

The show is far from it's roots too, it's all violence and very little romance and a daytime show should be somewhat romantic. Don't get me wrong, if you've seen GH than you know that they are pretty good or fun about action scenes and storylines...but I don't think that should overtake the show.

I saw that a fan has started a petition to raise awareness and take it to the top of the network, I don't if there are any other petitions of if this is the best but if you care about daytime tv, woman's issues or even if you're just bored please consider signing it.
